News hit the other day that January has been one of the wettest on the record books! 164.6mm (6.5in) of rain has fallen so far this month over the UK – a whopping 35% above the long-term average for this time of year.
Here at Green Earth Management the wet weather has impacted our daily activities. Site works this month have been extremely difficult due to the saturated ground, even leaving the company truck stuck in the mud for an afternoon! The damp weather also results in difficulty in building and sampling trial pits and site drainage (soakaway) tests due to the already drenched ground.
